Eco Christmas Tips We Love!
Here’s our pick of Sustainable Christmas tips for 2020.
1. Take Requests
It’s easy to say that every year there are lots of unwanted presents so don’t be afraid to ask for what they want or even buy together. Good surprises of course never hurt, but this way you know you’re getting something they’ll use.
2. Replace that wrapping paper with fabric or more sustainable options
You can use anything from old pillow cases to table clothes, with the simple intention to remove the need of wrapping paper in the first place. If not, try using brown parcel paper instead of regular wrapping paper. Some wrapping paper have glossy or glittery finishes that make it non recyclable.
3. Remove that Sellotape and Bows and Replace with a piece of nature
Try using string to tie up the presents or even elastic bands, which can later be reused. You can even bring flowers or bits of the Christmas tree and use these to embellish your gifts.
4. Reuse bits of old cartons and boxes as Christmas tags
Cut out a shape of a cereal box or something similar and no need to buy any more tags.
5. Rethink that Christmas dinner
2020 was the year of change and adjustment. Why not consider some vegan or vegetarian alternatives?
